Does Ketchup Really Make a Horse's Tail Whiter?

Links below vvvvvv I saw a Facebook post about ketchup whitening manes and tails. I probably wouldn't do it again. His tail is about half as thick as it should be, pieces were rubbed out in two instances. Harley does not cross tie yet and is still learning patience. Thanks for watching!
